Caledonia State Park is a 1,125 acre forest located in Fayetteville Pennsylvania, midway between Chambersburg and Gettysburg, PA. The park itself is located in South Mountain which is the northern end of Blue Ridge Mountain of Maryland and Virginia.
This park is open from sunrise to sunset every day of the year and offers a wide array of hiking. Some of the most popular things to do at this state park include hiking and camping. Camping options include tent camping, RV camping, and log cabin camping.
This state park has 10 miles of trails, passing through the forest and historic areas of Pennsylvania. In order to cater to a diverse group of hikers there are easy trails, moderate trails, and more difficult ones along with different types of trails such as loops, out and backs, point to point, and connector trails.
Some of the most popular trails in this park are the Appilachian trail, the Chambersburg Water Line trail, the Charcoal Hearth Trail, the Fire Road Trail, and the Midland Trail.
